What We Do
Rainbow Rescue is unique in that the home caters for no more than fourteen children. In addition, the children are brought up as a family unit. This avoids the problems associated with large institutions. Rainbow Rescue fulfils a very urgent need for facilities for displaced youths. In this family environment they learn a range of both practical and psycho-emotional skills that a child would learn in a family.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The overall goal of Rainbow Rescue is to provide holistic care for residents, to assist them in working toward becoming independent adults, able to be positive contributors in the development of our country, according to their individual potential.

Objectives to meet this goal include:
- To provide disadvantaged youth with more than food, clothing and shelter; but to inculcate a sense of dignity, pride and moral values.
- To inspire trust, build good character and restore a healthy sense of self.
- To give them a sense of their individuality and uniqueness.
- To cater to the provision of holistic education, as “Preparation for Life”, in all its areas.
- To encourage the boys to refuse to be defined by the dictates of their current reality.
- To carve a new and better path for themselves.
